Welcome

Tell me whether you've ever had this conversation:

Have you finished watching And Then There Were None?

Oh yes! A while back!

What did you think of it?

Er... it was good I guess? I don't remember...

For me the entire reason to read a book or watch a movie, is to enjoy it with others and talk about it. To see how my interpretation differs from theirs, and in the process find recommendations for other things. But sometimes it takes a while before they get to that book they borrowed, and by the time we're ready to talk about it my memory has faded.

I started a commonplace book. A place to jot down my thoughts on the things, so that I can remember them when I want to talk about them. But what's the point of those thoughts being stuck in a book? How many interesting people could we meet, if we could find something we have in common?

So that's what this is. I'll clean up my notes on particular things and post them here, so we can talk about them. At the bottom of each post you'll find a link to tell me what you thought if it.

By definition this entire site carries a full spoiler warning. Posts are written with the assumption that the thing being discussed has been finished. I'm not writing reviews where half the text explains what the thing is. This is my opinion of the thing. If you want to read about And Then There Were None, make sure you've read it first.

Occasionally I may revisit a post to update my thoughts after some time has passed, so maybe check in from time to time...
